Wednesday we spent our morning checking out the hotel pool. Sophie was excited to see the pool and began to run around the big pool scaring Deb that she might actually jump in. Fortunately she was only going to get a floating ring. There was a children’s pool that was both shallow and warm so the whole family spent our time there. We saw our daughter afraid for the first time when she accidentally went under water. Momma scooped her up and she came up sputtering and coughing. It wasn’t long that our little daredevil was back at it. Sophie and Jake had fun together as my son became very playful in the water with his sister.
Our afternoon was spent on a tour of Nanchang history. Our first stop was Tengwangge Tower a Chinese pavilion that was incredibly rich in provincial and national history.
Visiting Tengwangge Tower |
We spent a brief time visiting a museum of provincial history including artifacts from the various dynasties. There was a lot of interesting history at the museum, but for an eleven year old boy and a six year old girl it was very dry and they lost interest quickly so we left. See Deb's post to hear about the rest of our day.
