We are in CHINA!

We met 3 other adoptive families at O’Hare that were on our flight to Beijing. One family was also getting their 7th child! Another had their son and daughter with them and were adopting a son and a daughter. And the third couple had waited  5 years for their referral in the traditional program and are getting their 7 month old baby girl!

The flight was pretty good, except none of us could really sleep much on the plane. And poor Jake got sick towards the end and had to use the puke bag twice. L Luckily we had made friends with a couple of the stewardesses and they really helped us out. Jake was a trooper though and pulled through even though he really didn’t feel good for the next couple of hours. We were able to stretch out on the seats during our layover at the gate in Beijing and catch a few winks. Second flight was uneventful and our guide and driver were right there at the Nanchang airport to meet us. We were probably in the van on our way to the hotel within 10-12 minutes of landing! Our guide, Mary, is sweet and competent and speaks English well. Our driver (don’t know his name yet) was very careful, bless his heart!

Sophie should arrive at our hotel tomorrow at 4pm. :)
