Toofer one?

Didn't get a 2 for 1 sale

or even buy one get one half price.
That would have been nice!

Ryan needed to get his wisdom teeth extracted,
and after I made his appointment,
the dentist told me that even though Josh is only 15,
the x-ray showed that his wisdom teeth were coming in crooked,
pushing on his molars which could cause problems....
As soon as Josh and I got home from the dentist, I called the oral surgeon's office.
"Any chance you have another opening for another son on the same day?"

Understandably they weren't looking forward to this day.
Matt even came to take video of them in recovery!
Just for fun to show them later, not to post on facebook!
But due to HIPAA laws there is no video or pictures allowed in recovery now!

Matt and I were entertained as both of them repeated themselves over and over, not remembering what they had already said!

They got home and slept and took their meds and got ice on their faces in a cool ice headband.

Then entertained us some more for some pictures.

Yes, all posed....by now they are doing much better...

I don't know about them, but I'm glad it's over.

2 down, 5 to go!

Rejoicing!

Thursday morning Sophie asked me to "cuttle" (cuddle) in bed with her.

We got to talking and pretty soon we were talking about how Katie and Sophie talk to each other and sometimes they say mean things on purpose and how that hurts the other's feelings.
And sometimes they don't mean to hurt each other's feelings by what they say, but it does.

We got on a discussion of what sin was.
She totally gets it.
She knows what sin is and what isn't sin.

I led her through the ABC's like they do at Amazing Graceland at our church.

A: ADMIT that you sin.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

B: BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus.
"Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved." Romans 16:31

C: CHOOSE Jesus to be your Savior.
"I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

We've been reading the Bible with her, teaching her about God and His Son, Jesus.
She has listened to us pray and she has prayed.
I asked her if she was ready to follow Jesus.
She said she wanted to but she said she didn't understand enough.
I asked her if she understood those 3 things,  the ABC's.
"Yes."
I told her she will learn more as she grows up.
None of us knows it all.
We can't totally understand God.
He is GOD.
"As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways and
my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:9

I told her I thought she was ready.
She knew enough.
She wanted to follow Jesus.
So there in my bed on Thursday, July 19,
just 5 months and 1 day after coming home from China,
my little girl "prayed Jesus" as she says.
She told Him she sins and doesn't want to sin.
She told God that she believes that Jesus is His Son who died on the cross for her.
She told Jesus that she wants to follow Him!!

And the angels rejoiced!
And Mommy cried!
And we called to tell Daddy!

I prayed for her heart to be open to Jesus!
Thank you, Jesus, for answered prayer!!

Sewing

Soon after Sophie got home she was asking me  charade-style to let her sew!
She didn't even have the words for sew, or thread, or needle yet,
but from her charades I knew what she met.

I had saved the scraps from the fleece pillows I made last fall.
They were a little small, but it was the perfect (and free) first sewing project for 2 little girls.

 Little pillows for their dolls!
